About
Live Wire
We bring together the rich sounds of traditional orchestral instruments with the energy of modern electronic instruments, creating a unique musical experience where the unexpected becomes possible. From strings, woodwind, brass and percussion to electric guitars, bass, keyboards and drums, Live Wire welcomes musicians from all musical backgrounds, bringing amateur and professional players together through a shared love of music.

Our
Story
Live Wire Ensemble was born from an idea to rewire the way traditional ensembles work and explore music in a different way.
Our ethos is simple: Big sounds. Open minds. Good people.
We believe performing music should be a place where everyone feels welcome, creativity is encouraged and friendships are made. Whether you're an experienced performer or an enthusiastic amateur, there's a place for you in Live Wire.
From Beethoven to Becky Hill, Debussy to Donna Summer, and Pyotr Tchaikovsky to Pete Tong, we reimagine music across eras, genres, and styles. We fuse pieces and songs you never thought could work together, creating exciting new sounds, unforgettable performances and moments that bring people together.
Our goal is to build more than an ensemble. We want to create a community of passionate musicians who share the joy of making music, embrace new ideas and make memories that last long after the final note.
if you're 16 and over and can play over grade 4 standard we'd love for you to join.
